The week of Loooove is here! Whether you're spending the 3- day weekend with friends or a lover. Here are our top vday DIY’s we are trying this week! 

Top 3 favorite and simple desserts.

1. Chocolate covered strawberries: These are fresh, quick to make and look AMAZING. Here is our go to recipe from delish.com
2. Heart shape chocolate cake: Ever since I bought a heart shape cake pan, it has truly been a game changer. Chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting is an absolute favorite. The secret ingredient is adding COFFEE, which makes it rich and adds some bolt flavors. Here is our go to recipe from savorthebest.com.
3. Lemon poppyseed cupcakes: I have been in the habit of finding recipes that only make small batches, enough for 1-2 people. This is it, my partner and I ate all of them within 24 hours. Whoops. If you are looking to bake yourself something but don’t need 2 dozen cupcakes. Take a simple vanilla cupcake recipe, linked above then add 2 tbsp lemon zest and 2 tbsp of poppy seeds. EASY! For the glaze I usually mix, powdered sugar, splash of almond milk and a splash of lemon juice until the right consistency. This is the recipe to try, it makes only 6 cupcakes! Plus lemon poppyseed cake is light and super refreshing :)

Top 3 DIY crafts to do with your bestie. 

1. Chunky handknit blanket: This is so easy and fun. I link the youtube video on how I learned to do this. I rounded up some coupons in my email from Michaels but really any craft store sells chunky yarns. 
2. Candle making: I have been making candles yearly for the past 10 years. They are also SO simple to make! It is also fun to explore with different smells, herbs, and textures. Here are some really amazing ideas and helpful tips to get started. 
3. Homemade valentines day cards. Remember in elementary school where you would make a mailbox and handout your homemade valentines to your classmates? Annnnd if you liked someone you’d put extra candy? Is this just me? This year I am bringing those back, just for my lover and maybe I’ll add in a extra piece of candy too.
